Nepal -2010 Boudhanath Stupa in full August festival mode

Following a three week trek to Langtang and Gosankund with my daughter Pippa and her friend Mandi, I spend a week staying in a lodge just outside the main stupa before Jacqui arrives and we all attend a meditation retreat at the International Buddhist Academy not far from Boudhanath.

It rained a lot over several days, but this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the thousands who attended during that time.
